Mendez & Sanchez Partner Jennifer Russell Named Among Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 Women of Influence: Attorneys

LOS ANGELES— Mendez & Sanchez, A.P.C. is proud to announce that partner Jennifer Russell has been selected for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 Women of Influence: Attorneys recognition, an honor highlighting women attorneys whose leadership, professional accomplishments and impact have helped shape the legal community in Los Angeles.

The annual recognition celebrates women attorneys who have distinguished themselves through their legal work, dedication to clients, leadership within their firms and contributions to the broader Los Angeles legal landscape.

Russell’s selection reflects more than two decades of experience as a personal injury attorney and trial lawyer. Throughout her career, she has successfully resolved hundreds of cases through mediations, arbitrations and trials, including high-stakes matters involving catastrophic injuries, brain injuries and wrongful death. Her work is defined by a combination of sharp trial strategy, deep litigation experience and a compassionate commitment to the people she represents.

“We are thrilled to see Jennifer recognized among this year’s Women of Influence recognition,” said Michael Sanchez, founding and managing partner of Mendez & Sanchez. “Jennifer is an exceptional trial lawyer whose experience and dedication to her clients make her a powerful force in the courtroom and within the legal community. This recognition is incredibly well deserved.”

Before joining Mendez & Sanchez, Russell served as a partner at a prominent insurance defense firm, giving her valuable insight into the strategies used by insurance companies and defense counsel. She now uses that experience to anticipate defense tactics, strengthen her clients’ cases and maximize recoveries for those who have been harmed.

Russell’s courtroom experience and leadership have earned her significant recognition within the legal profession. In 2015, she was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates after successfully trying more than 20 cases. She has since tried nearly 50 cases across California and has become known for stepping into complex matters at critical stages, including cases approaching trial.

“I am honored to be included among this year’s Women of Influence: Attorneys selection,” said Russell. “This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the work I care deeply about, which is advocating for clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I am grateful to be part of a firm that is committed to fighting for justice and making a meaningful difference for the people we represent.”

Russell is also committed to strengthening the legal community through mentorship and education. She has spoken at numerous seminars, including ABOTA’s “Masters of Trial” program, where she helps train and support the next generation of trial attorneys.

Her recognition by the Los Angeles Business Journal emphasizes Mendez & Sanchez’s continued commitment to excellence in advocacy, leadership and client-centered representation.
